Twitter unveiled a new logo — a simplified version of “Larry,” its iconic blue bird. As per the company now onwards there’s no longer a need for text, bubbled typefaces, or a lowercase ‘t’ to represent Twitter.”
The new version of the blue bird grows out of love for ornithology, design within creative constraints, and simple geometry. This bird is crafted purely from three sets of overlapping circles — similar to how your networks, interests and ideas connect and intersect with peers and friends. Whether soaring high above the earth to take in a broad view, or flocking with other birds to achieve a common purpose, a bird in flight is the ultimate representation of freedom, hope and limitless possibility

Twitter’s marks include, but are not limited to, the Twitter name, logo, Tweet, Twitter bird, and any word, phrase, image, or other designation that identifies the source or origin of any of Twitter’s products.
Do not modify or alter the marks or use them in a confusing way, including suggesting sponsorship or endorsement by Twitter, or in a way that confuses Twitter with another brand.
- Use our official, unmodified Twitter bird to represent our brand.
- Make sure the bird faces right.
- Allow for at least 150% buffer space around the bird.
- Use speech bubbles or words around the bird.
- Rotate or change the direction of the bird.
- Animate the bird.
- Duplicate the bird.
- Change the color of the bird.
- Use any other marks or logos to represent our brand.
