IIFT Biz Quiz Review – QM Arul Mani

Was happy attending a Business Quiz on a Sunday afternoon. The prelims consisted of 30 well compiled Questions followed by a 42 Question finals. Three corporate teams and three students team where on stage. The battle was good on stage between one student team and rest of the three corporate team. At the end it was the students team from IIFT that cracked the quiz comfortably after scoring huge points in the penultimate round of the quiz (cracked the theme also). This is where a good corporate team lost ground (Avinash & Ranjeet) and another corporate team which was behind (Abhinav & Ninad) got a chance to get themselves into the top two. But it was the coporate team – Great Britain, Greater Kailash that finished as runner up (after leading the quiz for four rounds).

I enjoyed watching my first Arul Mani Quiz. Good compilation and nice Questions.

Passion ‘09, IMT Ghaziabad

Hey All,

Attended Biz Quiz @ IMT,Ghaziabad. Quiz Master was our own Souvik Basu.

Prelims – 25 Qs

Cut Off was 10. The prelim questions were good and not that tough. I thought the cut off would have been around 14. Prelims covered current happenings which included the Ash-Abhi Lux ad, ‘I hate Ugly’ – Allen Solly Campaign, first woman nobel prize winner, etc.

Finals:-

3 Teams from IMT
1 Team from ITM, Mumbai
1 Team from IIFT, Delhi
1 Team from IBS, Hydrebad

Finals had 5 rounds with a total of 40 Qs.

Souvik had compiled some real good Questions.

The theme was a real good one but the same was cracked by an audience in the second clue itself.. superb crack…!!!!

The clues included Canon+Terminator Salvation+Ray Ban+Honda+… and the answer was Brawn (F1).

Connects were also good except for a sitter (Barbie).

IMT,Ghaziabad cracked some good Qs like the description of mascot of common wealth games – Sheru and also they cracked the theme.

IMT, Ghaziabad came first followed by ITM, Mumbai. ITM tried catching up with IMT but the home team was good to maintain their lead and subsequnetly won the Quiz.

Was great to see Souvik conducting a quiz. Nice compilation of Qs. A good set of prelims and a well set Final.
Good job Souvik da… Quiz Master in the making. Would love to attend more of your Quizzes.
